A drink brand that doesn’t exist, built around a single chart: what your energy does all day on one can instead of the usual two.

Overview

Slow Burn is an invented yerba-mate energy drink. Energy drinks usually sell with neon, lightning bolts and all-caps promises. We wanted to see whether a calmer brand could carry the same pitch with one clear idea and honest numbers.

The brief we set

Sell steady energy instead of a spike, and show it on the page instead of just claiming it.

The look

A dawn sky that warms from peach to cream, soft-edged cans, Fraunces for the voice and Space Grotesk for the numbers. Each flavour gets a color for its time of day, from first light to night shift.

What we built

  • The curveA chart of energy from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. You drag a can along the day to compare one Slow Burn with two cans of a typical drink. It’s labeled illustrative, not clinical, and the same numbers sit in a plain table for screen readers.
  • One flavour for each part of the dayFour cans you can turn by dragging, with caffeine that steps down from morning to night.
  • A demo storeBuild a box by flavour, pack size and quantity, or take the sampler. It’s clearly marked as a demo; a real version would hand off to a hosted checkout so card details never touch the site.
  • Everything on the labelAn ingredient explorer and a full nutrition panel, set as real text instead of an image.
  • The launch basicsSelf-hosted fonts, a strict security policy, its own privacy page, and search indexing switched off because it’s a concept.

Result

Scored 92 for performance, 97 for accessibility and 100 for best practices on Google PageSpeed Insights (mobile).

Measured September 24, 2026. It’s a concept, so there are no sales to report.
