Wood-fired · Reading, PA
A modern American kitchen built on hardwood coals, seasonal ingredients, and craft cocktails — date-night quality without the stuffiness.
The Concept
Every dish that leaves our kitchen has touched fire.
Ember & Vine is built around a single open hearth — visible from every table — where hardwood coals do the work that ovens can't. Seasonal produce, hand-cut steaks, and wood-roasted vegetables come out charred, smoked, and unmistakably alive.
The room matches the food: dark timber, exposed brick, low candlelight, and plants softening every corner. It's the kind of upscale that still lets you laugh too loud at the table.
In the Dining Room
Our open-fire grill sits at the heart of the restaurant, in full view of the dining room — part kitchen, part hearth, part show.
From the Fire
Everything here is grilled over hardwood and finished by hand — the reason people drive across town for a Tuesday dinner.
